The Gin Industry Annual Dinner and Gin Guild Installation in May had widespread coverage in the trade-press, including: Imbibe, Twitter, The Spirits Business, Bar Magazine, The Spirits Business, Drinks International.
At a ceremony on 26 May, 24 new members were installed by The Gin Guild’s Grand Rectifier Martin Riley into the Gin Guild. They each swore an oath, while symbolically holding juniper berries, to protect the spirit’s quality and production around the world.

Scottish gin distillers helped The Prince’s Trust promote its work by providing a number of gins to provide festive cheer and additional interest an event featuring a unique group of 70 leading entrepreneurs, industrialists and other key players, all with Scottish connections, based part or full time in London, who were invited to attend a special evening.
At the International Wines and Spirits Competition ceremony in London gin and an interest in gin is clearly on the rise, as IWSC reported an increase of 60% in competition entrants. Check out the winners here.
EWG Spirits & Wine, one of the world’s leading gin specialists has created a gin from one of the oldest recorded gin recipes, and the Gin Guild is hosting a unique auction in aid of ‘The Benevolent’, the drinks industry charity.
